Eco-Friendly Water-Repellent Protection

FILA HYDROREP ECO is a water-based, eco-friendly water-repellent protector that preserves the natural look. It penetrates deep into the material while allowing the surface to breathe, preserving more than 90% of the material’s breathability. It limits the formation of algae, mould and lichen; its barrier effect against biological contamination has been documented by tests in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 846:1999 method.

It protects the surface against deterioration caused by weathering and against efflorescence, is UV-resistant and does not alter the frost resistance of terracotta. It is used on unpolished stone and agglomerates, concrete, terracotta, exposed brick, unglazed clinker tiles, plaster and tuff surfaces, and is particularly ideal for protecting exterior walls. As it can be applied to surfaces containing residual moisture, it significantly shortens application time. The product is classified A+ under the French VOC regulation.

3-Step Application

Application

Check the Surface

Make sure the surface is clean and dry. The product is ready to use; do not dilute.
Apply to Saturation

Apply the product with a brush or another suitable method, letting it soak in until the material is saturated. Before the product dries (approximately 10-15 minutes), remove the excess by dabbing with a clean cloth.
Drying and Cleaning

The surface can be walked on after 4 hours; the water-repellent effect starts after 24 hours. Clean the equipment with water after use.

Safe Use

Points to Consider

To use the product safely and at maximum efficiency, please read the following points carefully before application.

Due to the variety of materials, carry out a test on a small area before application to check for possible colour changes.
Do not allow the product to pool on the surface. Do not apply outdoors if rain is expected.
Do not apply to surfaces with condensation or in direct sunlight.
It does not protect marble and limestone against acids; it does not provide protection against the corrosive action of acids.
Stubborn product residues, even if dried, can be removed using FASEZERO diluted 1:10 and a white pad.
Before application, outdoor floors must have been properly installed and must meet all relevant requirements, including adequate slope, correctly made expansion joints, complete insulation from the underlying substrate and verified suitability for sub-zero temperatures.
Application with airless systems or other spraying equipment is for professional use only; use the appropriate personal protective equipment specified in the Safety Data Sheet.
Keep out of the reach of children; do not release into the environment after use.
Storage: 5-30 °C; surface during application: 10-30 °C.
