Stain Protector for Unpolished Surfaces

FILA W68 is a water-based stain protector that protects porous materials such as untreated natural stone, terracotta and concrete against greasy dirt. It limits the absorption of common water- and oil-based stains and can be used on indoor and outdoor surfaces. Its formula, free from hydrocarbon solvents, allows a more environmentally friendly application; as it can also be applied when there is residual moisture in the surface, it significantly shortens treatment time.

It does not form a film on the surface, provides a natural look and does not alter the frost resistance of terracotta. It is used as a protective primer before waxing on indoor floors; by preventing graffiti paints from adhering to the surface, it helps graffiti to be removed easily. Also delivering outstanding results on concrete surfaces, W68 is classified A+ under the French VOC regulation and certified under EMICODE EC1 Plus and LEED (ACP).

3-Step Application

Application

Indoor Application

Apply a single, even coat of the product undiluted to the clean, dry surface with a brush or a plush application pad, making sure it also penetrates the grout thoroughly. Wait 4 hours.
Indoor Finishing Wax

Apply a finishing wax according to the desired look: MATT for a natural look, LONGLIFE or CLASSIC for a glossy look, SATIN for a satin look. On absorbent materials, to strengthen the protection, apply one more coat of wax 1 hour after the first coat of wax.
Outdoor Application

Apply two even coats of W68 to the clean surface with a brush or a plush application pad. Remove any excess product that has not been absorbed by dabbing with a microfibre cloth before it dries. Clean the equipment with water after use.

Safe Use

Points to Consider

To use the product safely and at maximum efficiency, please read the following points carefully before application.

As materials can have very different characteristics, carry out a test on a small area before application to check for possible colour changes.
Do not apply outdoors if rain is expected.
It does not provide protection against the corrosive action of acids.
Before application, outdoor floor coverings must have been correctly installed and must meet all specific requirements: adequate slope, correctly made expansion joints, complete insulation from the underlying substrate and proven resistance to sub-zero temperatures.
Protect the container from frost; store at room temperature.
Keep out of the reach of children; do not discharge the product into the environment after use.
Storage: 5-30 °C; surface during application: 10-30 °C (surface temperature).
